Committee Definitions

Budget and Auditing: to develop an Association budget and to audit the books of the Treasurer at the time of the annual meeting. 

Membership, Outreach, Nominations, and Awards: to assist in promoting membership to all eligible individuals; to accept nominations for candidates for President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, to consider and recommend to the Executive Board appropriate candidates for Association honors and awards.

Constitution, By-Laws, and Legislative: to review the Constitution and By-Laws and recommend changes to the Executive Board; to assist in formulating a desirable legislative program for the Association and to keep the Executive Board informed on pertinent legislation.

NCC and Professional Development: to develop, conduct, and promote the
National Credentialing Courses; to coordinate the documentation necessary between MDTSEA, St. Cloud State University, and the Michigan Department of State (MDOS) for the NCC courses; to develop, conduct, and promote professional development courses that meet the requirements of the MDOS.

Driver Education Materials and Historian: to periodically review and update the various educational resources MDTSEA provides; to compile and record the MDTSEA history and Milestones documents annually for displaying on the website.

State and National Conference: to make recommendations to the Board for the site, dates and the plans for MDTSEA’s annual conference; the President-Elect shall be responsible for coordinating MDTSEA’s conference program; to determine the level of MDTSEA participation at the national conference;
